To avoid further pandemic spread. To continue to offer excellent programs and the sacraments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Measures to be taken<\/strong>: Upon designation of a federal or state pandemic or\nsimilar designation placing Nicollet County in the affected area, our parishes\nwill execute the following control and mitigation steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A.&nbsp; <strong>Regarding Liturgies (Masses, Confession, Baptisms, Funerals)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Effective March 18 through March 31, Bishop\nLeVoir has canceled all daily and weekend Masses. He has suspended all daily\nand weekend Masses and dispensed from the Sunday Mass obligation.<\/li><li>When we are able to have <strong>public Mass<\/strong>\nagain, the following <strong>guidelines<\/strong> will be in place:<\/li><li>When coming into church please use the <strong>hand\nsanitizer<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>No shaking\/holding hands<\/strong> at beginning of\nMass, at sign of peace, during Our Father, after Mass.<\/li><li><strong>EMHC<\/strong> should sanitize their hands at the\ncredence table before distributing communion.<\/li><li><strong>Holy water fonts<\/strong> will remain empty.<\/li><li>As much as possible maintain separation, 6 feet.<\/li><li><strong>Stations of the Cross<\/strong> \u2013 Through March 31\nthere will be no parish celebration of the stations. People can pray the\nstations privately.<\/li><li><strong>Eucharistic adoration <\/strong>on Thursday at St.\nPeter is CANCELLED through March 31.<\/li><li><strong>Regular confession schedule<\/strong> of Thursday\nafternoon from 3:30 to 4:00pm and Saturday from 3:00 to 4:00pm will continue.<\/li><li><strong>Funerals<\/strong>:<\/li><li>Funeral\nhome guidelines: After lots of questions today in our Mankato office from\nchurches and a ruling from the Winona catholic dioceses, we are going to the 10\nperson indoors for any viewing\/service. A larger family would all be allowed to\nview, just no more than 10 at a time. A graveside service, being outdoors,\ncould include all the family. Thank you for working with us as we work toward\nallowing families what they need to process a death while also keeping everyone\nas safe as possible through this.&nbsp; Blake<\/li><li>Funeral\nMass \u2013 We need to follow Bishop LeVoir\u2019s policy of no public Masses through\nMarch 31. We would\/could have a burial in the cemetery and schedule a memorial\nfuneral Mass later.<\/li><li>Lunch\n\u2013 none for now in the social hall.<\/li><li><strong>Bulletins<\/strong> \u2013 In both parishes, bulletins\nwill be on the table near the main entrance. There will also be a plastic tub\noutside near the main entrance with some bulletins in it at St. Peter and in\nthe box outside the doors at Nicollet. The bulletin is also on the parish\nwebsite.<\/li><li><strong>Chapel<\/strong> (in St. Peter) \u2013 Narthex and\nchapel will be unlocked on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Feel free\nto come in to pray. Please maintain social distance of 10 feet or more.<\/li><li><strong>Church<\/strong> (in Nicollet) will be open on\nSunday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Feel free to come in to pray. Please maintain\nsocial distance of 10 feet or more.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>B.&nbsp; <strong>Faith Formation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Children\u2019s liturgy<\/strong> Sunday morning is\ncancelled.<\/li><li><strong>Youth Faith Formation c<\/strong>lasses, events are\ncancelled as long as school is closed.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>C.&nbsp; <strong>Pastoral Care<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Home visits<\/strong> will cease, except in an\nemergency.<\/li><li><strong>Care facilities<\/strong> will be consulted\nregularly to ensure that they are allowing word and communion services or Mass.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>D.&nbsp; <strong>Maintenance and Administration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li><strong>Maintenance<\/strong> will see that cleaning of\ndoor handles, etc. are cleaned with a germicidal cleaning agent.<\/li><li><strong>Parish staff<\/strong>:<\/li><li>Any staff member exhibiting signs of\nsickness\/illness will go home.<\/li><li>Some\nof the staff will be working from home. If you need to talk to them call the\nparish or email them and they will get in touch with you.<\/li><li>We\nare planning to have some of the staff in the office.<\/li><li><strong>Communication with parishioners<\/strong>:<\/li><li>We\nwill have a regular communication with people via email, Facebook, and parish\nwebsite.<\/li><li><strong>Parish\nbulletins<\/strong> \u2013 will be available by the main entry and in a plastic tub\noutside near the main entry for anyone stopping to pick it up after hours.<\/li><li><strong>Contributions<\/strong> \u2013 our regular expenses will\ncontinue. <\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COVID-19 Pandemic Plan for the Churches of St. Peter &amp;St. Paul Goal: &nbsp; To keep parishioners, staff, visitors and vendors safe.
