Dear Third Grade Parents,
Spring Program is tomorrow and we just finished dress rehearsal. They all did a wonderful job and I know that they will be terrific tomorrow for all of you!
Just two weeks left and our year will come to an end. Where did the time go? We have a few important things to finish.
Reading: We will finish the year reading Pourquoi Tales. Pourquoi means “why”. These are stories that ancient people told to explain why certain things happened in nature. The AR total for 4th quarter is 6 books. I reviewed everyone’s totals with them on Monday and those sheets are in the Friday Folders. Most of the students have taken tests since then, these are not recorded on the sheets.
English: There will be one more English test next week – Chapter 13 on helping verbs and the use of not. The test will be on Thursday, May 17th.
Spelling: The last spelling unit will be Unit 27, which will cover the prefixes of re- and un-.
Math: The fact tests on the 6’s and the 8’s will be Friday, May 18th.
Religion: The written and oral test on the Apostles’ Creed will be Monday, May 21st.
Social: The time has come. The States and Capitals Test will be Wednesday, May 16th.
The JI library is closing on the 17th of May. The classroom library will close on May 21st. Please look around and see if you have any of our books.
